You come as you are, you do not need any previous breathwork
You do not need to
know how to breathe "correctly," and you do not need to arrive with a
particular problem to solve. You simply come as you are.
For me, breathwork isn't about forcing the breath or aiming for a particular
state. The breath is already communicating with us. It can reflect how we're
feeling, how we're responding to life, where we may be holding tension, and
how available we are to ourselves in that moment.
My approach begins with listening
Rather than trying to change the breath right away, we begin by noticing it —
the body, the sensation, where breathing feels open and where it feels
restricted. From there, we gradually work with the breath in a way that
supports greater awareness, movement and connection.
During the circle, I'll guide you through Connected Conscious Breathwork —
allowing the inhale and exhale to flow into one another without a deliberate
pause between them. You'll be guided gradually; there's no single correct
depth, speed or intensity, and your breathing can change throughout the
session. You remain in choice throughout.
What happens during the online session
We do this together
Throughout the session, you're always in charge of your own breath. You can
breathe more gently, return to your natural breathing, change position, open
your eyes, or simply rest whenever you need to — resting isn't doing the
practice incorrectly, it's part of learning to listen to your body.
There's also something important about doing this together. Even though
we're meeting online, each from our own home, we're still sharing a common
space and a common intention. Community can bring a sense of connection
and support while you remain within your own familiar environment.
Knowing when you can explore further, when to slow down, and when your system is
asking for rest.
You don't have to perform. You don't have to achieve anything. You simply
breathe, listen, and allow yourself to notice what's here.
We do this together
with a short arrival and orientation, giving you time to
settle into your space and notice how you're feeling.
I'll then introduce the breath and guide you gradually into the connected
breathing pattern, with music supporting the journey alongside verbal
guidance and invitations to use movement or sound when it feels right.
Most of the journey is done lying down comfortably in your own space. Your
microphone stays muted throughout, so everyone has the freedom to breathe,
sigh, move or make sound without worrying about disturbing anyone else.
Your camera can stay on or off during the main breathing journey, whichever
helps you feel most comfortable.
Toward the end, the breathing naturally softens. We allow time for stillness,
integration and returning to the room before finishing together.
If it feels like too much
Breathwork like this can sometimes bring up intense sensations —
tingling or tightness in the hands, shortness of breath, or dizziness. If
that happens, it's completely normal, and there's a simple way back:
close your mouth, breathe gently through your nose, and bring your
attention down to the sensation under your feet. Stay there until things
settle. You're always in control of your own breath.
Before we begin — please check the contraindications on the website
before this session. If you're pregnant, or have certain health conditions,
there are specific adjustments, including how you're positioned. You'll
also find guidance there on what to do before and after a session to
support yourself well.
